A few months ago I was driving the Captain to a birthday party over in Killara. Stopped at the lights I glanced at the car next to me and spotted a familiar face, a fellow blogger! Will I? Won't I? I was torn between saying hello and scared she would think I was a lunatic! Gathering courage I wound down the window and called out "Carolyn?" Yes, it was definitely her! "I love your blog" I followed with! Luckily, she laughed! I don't think she thought I was a complete lunatic as soon after we met for a coffee and she even asked me to write a guest post! Here it is over at Desire Empire!!!

LOL!!! I loved it!!! Good for you, Emma! Most of us would be shy and miss an opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI would love to meet Carolyn, too!!! If one day you guys come to Vancouver (west coast of Canada), PLEASE CALL ME UP!!!
Cheers,
Isn't it funny what a chance meeting at the traffic lights can set in motion? I really enjoyed your guest post - your house looks fabulous and so neat considering you have two boys! Congrats. Rx
ReplyDeleteOh my god that is hilarious Emma! Great guest post. Such gorgeous style. xxx
ReplyDeleteGood work with the chandelier. I admire that kind of dedication. When we travelled to Italy pre kids we came home with 2 paintings and an armful of crockery snuck into our carry on bags. And if you are ever in Briz, you are welcome to come and have a cuppa with me too! melx
ReplyDeleteOh Sweetheart, I noticed Carolyn's post in my Reader. Heading there now to see some more Emma-liciousness! J x

That is a great story, & I wish more people would take that initiative to meet someone. I'm not an Aussie, but it's somewhere I've always wanted to see. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge my "obsession" with Russell Crowe.....lol!
ReplyDeleteI toured your beach cottage over at Desire Empire, & "wow" what a beautiful home! I'm a new follower & look forward to seeing more of what you do.

That's cute. It's a small world after all. To be driving and run into a blogging buddy.
