Life lately....

... has been busy.

A shopping trip to Brisbane.

Nicasso's latest art work.

School holiday activities.  (...that would be the Colosseum made out of Lego)

The Mummy of a 5 year old boy who was missing a tooth (discovered recently via x-ray apparently).  Both were fascinated.

Armchair Collective.

Dinner at Hugo's Manly.  Beef carpaccio is back on the menu, thank you universe for answering.

Peonies from my parents garden.

Looking perfect in my kitchen!!!

The view from my bed when the Jacarandas are in flower is magic.

Love that they are still not too old to try and build these crazy towers out of wood blocks.

A darling little friend for a sleepover.

Admiring street art.

There's also been a trip to Melbourne.  The boys are quite the fans of the pool at The Olsen. I wanted to steal the towels.  I didn't though.

Admiring the Christmas windows at David Jones in the city.

This child is impossibly cool.

This child is still impossibly cute.

A trip to the Opera House to see 'Twas the night before Christmas.

and much, much more.... to be documented at some point soon hopefully.

Merry Christmas to all. xx

  1. You have been one busy lady, lots of great things have been going on for all of you. Your boys are certainly going to be heart breakers when they get older. It looks like a sweet little friendship your youngest has there with his friend, I bet you enjoyed having a little girl in the house. Next time you're in Brisbane and you have spare time we could catch up:) Have a wonderful Christmas Emma, may 2013 be full of great times and much happiness. xx

  2. Firstly love the latest art work. Agree he is totally totally cool, mine would not know how to look cool if he tried! The view into your garden is so so lovely, how hard would it be to get out of bed! And lastly, never ever would I have imagined that someone would come to Brisbane to go shopping (Anna Spiro is pretty cool though) and I agree with Catherine, next time lets meet at the WAC and swap vintage Enid Blytons. mel x

    1. Hi Mel, The main reason for the shopping trip was to catch up with one of my oldest and dearest friends and also to attend the Black & Spiro flea market sale. Was fabulous too!!! Next time a meet up to swap vintage Blytons sound fantastic though!! xx

  4. Oh Em, it's just splendid to see you and the boys back here. It's made my week (not sure if you've read my last post). So much to say but I'll stop at 1. The boys are still scrumptious and 2. Your parents (and you!) are very lucky indeed to have such exquisite specimens in their garden. J x

  5. Busy yet decidedly beautiful. Adore jacaranda flowers, they take me back straight to my grandmother's Sydney garden....they are impossible to cultivate in Hobart.....yet mercifully peonies thrive. Every best Christmas wish, Rx

    1. Thanks Romy, I adore the jacarandas too. Peonies seem to like the cold climates best, they do fabulously in my parents garden in Canberra, x
