Emptying the pool skimmer basket you find various random objects (I could actually devote a whole blog post to this subject):
Be prepared for the suprise gifts:
And you will be on a first name basis with the local hospital Emergency staff (That would be the remains of a black eye, a scab on his nose and you can just see the stitches in his chin... there are four of them!):
Ah, my rambunctious little rascals, I love you both so much! xx
Oh goodness! Love the lagoon antics, so much fun!! I think I could cope with the plastic toys and the frog in the pool filter basket...not sure how I would go if a spider ever found its way in there!! Hope your very brave little man is nearly all mended...what a fright you must have gotten! ~ Tina xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous post.
ReplyDeleteThe pool skimmer photo made me laugh so much. We seem to have and endless parade of action man type figures in odd spots all over the house...
I hear you! Can't relate to the pool skimmer not having a pool ourselves, but always some interesting objects to be fished out of the loo in our house ;-)
ReplyDeleteEmma, I love that first picture - you should print it out (really big!) and frame it! Boys are so delightful - something I must admit that I didn't really 'get' until I had my own boy.
ReplyDeleteI'm having so much fun with Oesch lately - he's all adventure, exuberance and rough & tumble. I am struggling with the challenge of trying to explain that we don't throw toy cars at our sister, several times a day though!
Stitches for your little one - poor soul. How traumatic (for you!)
Boys are a great joy it is true. Love your first photo. x
ReplyDeleteLove the lagoon photo's. We used to find funnel webs in our pool skimmer... Id much rather find boy treasure I have to say. Megan xx
ReplyDeleteLoving the Captain and his First Mate in the briney sea.

Ah, precious moments captured, Emma. Yet again. They are so lucky to have you as their Mama. J x
ReplyDeleteThe weed hurling is just gross - boys.
ReplyDeleteSo, do you give them a good reaction when they show you thinks like frogs? My daughter just had to draw one for science and I refused to look at it.
Hi Emma, that shot of what you found in the pool skimmer sums it all up doesn't it. It's photos like these that make me so proud of being a mum to boys! Never a dull moment. Thank you for your lovely comments, you've got me motivated again. You are right, I do find inspiration from blog surfing! And I adore simple posts like this one. From the heart. P.S. How are you coping with the school routine? Congratulations to you. No 1. starting school this year. It's a full-on ride isn't it. I hope he's settled in well (he looked it in the photos). Love, Px
ReplyDeleteSoooo different from our house of little girls! I love it. The photo of your little boy bearing war wounds and bruises tells a thousand stories, and his expression is so stoic. Isn't it great how your boys have made emptying the pool skimmer a fun little routine?!! Great post, Emma. X denise.
ReplyDeleteoh smile. smile. smile.
ReplyDeleteHa! the frog would have made me shriek first, then have a giggle. I grew up surrounded by boys and this is all so familiar. x
ReplyDeleteHa ha. I have three girls and we still manage worms, mud, trucks and bugs.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog, glad to have found my way here. Am now a followers!
